missing a breath

Hi

I had a heart attack in August 2023 and had a stent fitted. I then had a heart bypass in April 2024. I have been ok but since November have been getting chest pain again with exercise and stress. I also get heart palpitations and what I call a missed breath.

I went to the doctors in December last year and the doctor has referred me to the cardiologist again and I’m on a waiting list.

Lately in the past week I have been getting more frequent attacks. I have a doctors appointment this afternoon should I be concerned.

any advice would be gratefully received.

I had nstemi and quadruple bypass July 2023 but haven’t had your symptoms.

Thank you for your reply. The doctor gave me a gtn spray again. I’m on the waiting list to see a consultant. I wish you all the best.

Hi Lemon31, just a thought, I had CABG last June and when discharged by cardiologist in September (the discharge had a specific name which I can't remember) I was told that for 5 years if I had any heart concerns to contact him directly through his secretary and to bypass the GP and referral. Try a call to your cardiologist, it may be productive. Best wishes.
