Pains pains pains : So had enough had... - British Heart Fou...
Pains pains pains
You will get there dont give up i was like that at the start but it comes good in the end
But keep feeling and thinking I'm never gonna fit right dosage or god forbid probably have another heart attack that will Finnish me of that's tge way I'm thinking just lately so so so fed up
Its really is early days for you in your recovery. Though youve had a couple of rehab classes, that's also early days and I would definitely continue going to them. Are you doing exercise or walking at home too? I think anxiety seems to be playing a big part in how you feel. So many people on the forum have been in your position...scared about the situation or if it will happen again. None of us know what's going to happen and can only do what we can do to assist ourselves and to possibly make it all seem more positive. Have you tried speaking to your cardiologist about your concerns....or try the BHF nurses...they are excellent and might be able to put your mind at ease about certain things. I think if you can get some of the fear out of your mind you will feel a lot better about things. I'm not saying any of this lightly to you as I know how frightening it all is and wondering about recovery etc. I hope you find a positive way forward and wish you all the best xx
Thank u snd I'm waiting to see my heart doctor again but its just these chest pains I've got them while I'm sat here not typing they don't always hurt but there there last night really big palpitations woke me feel like it's never going to get better π
If you've had an angiogram and it hasn't shown any blockages I would think that's a really good sign. Do you keep checks on your heart rate and blood pressure with any home equipment? ..that might help if you see that nothing drastic is happening. You could try to have a chat with your GP to alleviate your worries. I understand that you will feel anxious and that goes with the territory of anything heart related but I feel if you were put more at ease about your condition it might go a long way in helping you to feel better and more positive. I feel for you and hope someone can offer advice that makes you feel happier and more settled with you condition. Take care xx
Has anything other than meds and rehab been suggested for your condition? Have they taken an angiogram or suggested surgery?
Had angiogram revealed nothing waiting to see cardiologist again
If it revealed nothing is there a suggestion the angina might be something else? Could it be connected with the Vagus nerve? Or does an angiogram not pick up all heart related conditions? Is an appt with the cardiologist imminent?
May I ask what medication other than verapamil you take? Are you on any beta blocker or anything for cholesterol, or GTN Spray?
Verapamil 3 times a day 40mg isosorbide mononitrate 40mg 1 a day lansopraole 15mg 1 a day atorvastatin 80mg 1a day asprin 1 a day ramapril 10mg 1 a day
You are taking more meducation than I do and I had a quad bypass! Basically they are dealing with your angina but it seems they haven't identified any other heart related problems.
I would question those meds with my GP especially the Atorvastatin and the 10mg of Ramipril. Atorvastatin can cause muscular pain in any region. I am not saying you are on the wrong dose just ask your GP could they be causing any of your problems. Also I would ask him for something to take for your anxiety as that can cause almost all of the symptoms you are feeling. You will feel normal again but you need to address your anxiety first and foremost and if you do believe me you will quickly return to your old self.
It's been 2 years since my heart attack and I still get pain like you are describing,.. just not as bad or as often. Do you have nitro spray? If not maybe it will help (I take nitro tablets regularly and the spray when needed) Really hope you get this straightened out soon,.. and if it gets to bad call an ambulance they will get you sorted.
Yeah I gave spray but when I used it it's been ok for maybe half an hour then its sometime back but then get told can't usdit more than twice and if I have to use it more than twice then go to a&e which I'm not going to do anymore it's ridiculous
