if you read the Night Nurse pack leaflet you’ll see it’s not recommended, but a chat with your dispensing might help.

Talk to your pharmacist. NIght nurse is one of numerous over the counter medicines that should not be taken

My husband is on the usual meds and just getting over man flu !!

The pharmacist advised just paracetamol, honey and lemon drinks and inhalations for congestion. She did find some simple linctus which helped his cough a bit.

hope you feel better soon - some nasty bugs going around at the moment.

Hi Charl70 After my Bypass I was advised of a golden rule that NO Cold Remedies were to be taken. Only use - Paracetamol, sprinkle Olbas Oil onto your chest and put a Hot Water Bottle on to increase the vapours and a Pharmacist can make you a Cough Mixture. If you haven't had a Bypass then ask your trusted Pharmacist to be safe. Over the counter cold meds can increase your heart rate.

Following my cardiac issues and treatment I’ve been told paracetamol is fine but definitely no NSAID drugs such as Nurofen or Ibuprofen under any circumstances.

You MUST check with your medical advisers or the BHF helpline and NOT Dr Google or any advice from the internet. I’m pretty sure you’ve asked this question on a Facebook group as well …

My immediate reaction was no it isn't, but your pharmacist would know the answer to this. I think the problem is interaction with bisoprolol.

Just speak to your pharmacist they will advise

I was told just paracetamol and that’s all I used

Hope you feel better soon 🙂

Hi I totally agree with all the kind people who have answered your question. Mumline mentioned Olbas Oil, when I used it I got palpitations quite sever. I'm not suggesting you cannot use it, we are all different, maybe you could ask the chemist. It also happened when I used a Vic inhaler.Just what to pass on. Get well soon.🤗
