I've never had a visit but I've had conversations with two and they have been brilliant.

Very knowledgeable and very reassuring.

After my HA I was very anxious....I think most of us are, the nurses are well used to dealing with our emotions, don't worry.

I think these visits might be becoming more frequent and especially if patient is unable to get to get to the surgery with ease. My husband had an unexpected visit from a nurse following a chat with his GP.GP decided an immediate visit was neccessary and nurse came within two hours.Very efficient and did a total exam and reported back to GP.I had something similar happen too a while back.

Thank you I have no problem getting out and I drive I could easily make the clinic maybe it’s just easier for the nurse to come to me?

sometimes it is helpful to see a person in their own home - they are more likely to be relaxed and it can help with forming a more rounded picture of how their condition affects their day-to-day life so that more relevant treatment can be planned

just don't feel tempted to rush around making your home look perfect!

as a district nurse I found it very important to be aware of the home environment of the people I cared for

Hi Wanheda1, I see my cardiac nurse every 6 months, have done so since the beginning of my heart problems. She is so knowledgeable and friendly too. For me, it's important to maintain the connection, she makes me feel secure and I know I can call her anytime I need help with meds. Take care.

Thank you, I was born with congenital heart disease but never had a nurse come and see me before, but she was nice and I have to keep seeing her for a while as I’ve been put on new medication and my heart isn’t pumping as well as it should

Im so pleased your nurse was nice. Cardiac nurses are worth their weight in gold. I have an EF of 25% and take lots of meds. I would rather approach my nurse than my GP when it comes to matters of the heart . Keep well.
