In theory recovery is much faster because you body does not need to repair all the damage done by being cut open and yanked apart - you might find this helpful guysandstthomasspecialistca....

Hi I have both OHS and keyhole surgery over the years.

Keyhole recovery is much quicker, I was back to work within four weeks after having keyhole surgery, out of hospital within twenty four hours.

I had aortic valve replacement done keyhole (private) March 2024, recovery is much faster than OHS. 6 days in hospital in London, and I was back at work after 10 weeks, I don’t know why more surgeons don’t train in this technique as it would free more beds in hospitals quicker, and help patients have faster recovery, with less chance of complication.
