On a post I posted back in December, I stated I had been referred for an ECG and an echo due my sister being diagnosed with heart failure at the age of 26. I have my echo on the 16th of January and my ECG was done at my GP surgery yesterday. My pulse was 132, and it showed a ST depression and a right axis deviation., but the GP didn’t seem too concerned about it. I have been prescribed bisoprolol for the heart rate, however I am anxious about the abnormalities despite my GP not being too concerned about it.

Your GP's reply to the echo sounds a bit random and vague. I would pin him down and ask specifically why he is unconcerned .If you are still not satisfied ask for a referal to a cardiologist
I was meant to say that was her response to the ECG. My echo is in two weeks time. At least she agreed to prescribe the bisoprolol for my heart rate.
Hiya - I agree I would ask for a referral to a cardiologist - if you can afford it, it may also be worth considering a private consultation with a cardiologist - I had AF and and a left ventricle issue, after having a slow response I booked a private consultation and that sped up the process in the NHS as the cardiologist I saw was also an NHS consultant and offered that I see him as my NHS consultant. Good luck
Has anyone else in your family suffered from heart issues?
