I had my echo 2 weeks ago and 24 hour ecg last week due to my sister being diagnosed with heart failure at age 26 just before Christmas. Cardiology rang this morning to offer an appointment with the cardiologist for the 24th of February to discuss the results. I’m surprised I’ve got an appointment so soon as when my GP referred me for the test in the first place, the NHS app was giving a 18 week wait for an appointment, and I’ve only had to wait about half of that time.

Sounds like the NHS at its best. You are certainly receiving a prompt service.
Hi, think the NHS app and reality when it comes to timings are somewhat out of sync..I was referred mid September and app was showing 18 weeks, reality was Echo and 24 hour holter done early November and seen by consultant mid December. According to the app I've not had any hospital appointments and none planned (both of which I've had/are in the diary..) looks like front line care is great but systems a bit clunky. My tests were thankfully ok so again being seen earlier than expected is not necessarily due to anything to worry about. Best wishes to you and your sister.
Sending prayers and best wishes Saracenangel
