I am sending you all season’s greetings, hoping that you all have a wonderful Christmas and better health in the year ahead.
Can’t believe another year has passed, I am 9 years into my replacement aortic valve and bypass and my little pigs valve is still working okay. I don’t post as much now days but do keep up with what is being posted, it’s 2 years since John passed away and that’s been really difficult. But as we used to say onwards and upwards. I miss Handle ( Jan) so much. Her death this year was so unexpected, seeing her posts on the forum was always something to read, she always had such good advice.
So to all the hearties I wish you a happy and peaceful Christmas, and to everyone who is waiting for appointments I hope you get the news you have been waiting for.
Very best wishes
Pauline x

Good to hear from you too, don’t the years pass so quickly? You are right have had some wild and windy weather here but at the moment things are okay.
It’s funny isn’t it there’s always people taking the place of the Hearties that are moving on, this heart road we are all travelling can sometimes be a bit bumpy but we keep going!
Remember my Granddaughter who was at 6th form college near you, she graduates next year!
Wishing you and your family very happy Christmas and a healthy and peaceful New Year.
Yes I do remember chatting about your granddaughter and family down here in the South. Graduating next year! It’s unbelievable how fast time goes.
And here we are once again, standing on the threshold of another year.
After my heart attack in 2016 I wondered what, if anything, life had in store for me. Well here I am going into 2025 and at the age of 71 I’m busier now than what I was when I had my business! It’s my ambition to be bored 😂
Thank you for Seasons Wishes.
And my I wish You and your family down here in South Hampshire and Australia (if I remember right) a lovely Christmas and a healthy New Year.
Have a we dram for me on New Years Eve (but only one cos it goes straight to my head 🥴) .
-007- (I take my soluble Aspirin shaken not stirred)
Oh you have always had a great turn of phrase that makes me laugh out loud. You are nearly right Poole and Perth Australia. Eldest granddaughter in Australia is off to Vietnam just after Christmas, part of her degree doing a reach project at the university in Ho Chi Min city. Then off to Cambodia for a couple of weeks! She graduates next year to, already secured a job with Deloitte starting next September. I have decided that my 5 granddaughters have a good healthy dose of Johns travel genes! ( he spent his working life in the merchant navy) Tilly my youngest here in the U.K. 19 is in Australia at the moment year traveling!
Merry Christmas Pauline, I hope you have a lovely time and I am sure John will be with you the whole time with all the happy memories you have. That's great news that piggy valve is still doing its job after all this time.
I had another couple of UTI's it's getting harder to shift them now but all ok at the moment although the bloods showed up gout and rheumatoid arthritis, I get the fear every time they take some, always something else wrong. I have just had the phonecall I was waiting on, I have to go into the RAH 🙄on the 6th January for a general anesthetic to get rid of the rest of the polyps. I will be so glad to get it done and 🤞 everything will be ok. I will let you know.
Please you are getting these polyps out, I can appreciate how nervous you are especially going under general anaesthetic, but you will be so taken care of. I am sure everything will be fine.
Doesn’t time march on so quickly? Us both being in the Golden Jubilee seems just a few months ago! With what you have been through it’s perfectly understandable that you have fear when you have any sort of tests done, I know I am the same I can guarantee that that a blood test will show I need iron!
Let me know how you get on next month, I will be thinking of you.
