Pacemaker operation in the New Year - what to expect?

Hi,

I was diagnosed with Long QT syndrome and had an ICD fitted a couple of months ago. I'm scheduled to have a Pacemaker fitted in early January and wondered if anyone had posted the procedure to fit a pacemaker? I read one on the ICD procedure and it was really helpful to know what to expect. Thanks in advance.

Why are you having a pacemaker fitted when you already have an ICD? The ICD is simply a pacemaker with added defibrillator.

Not all ICDs have the pacing function. My subcutaneous ICD can only defibrillate and does not pace 😊

Kiwi said ICD rather than S-ICD, which are 2 different devices, but you're probably right. :)

My ICD is a monitor only.
