It is 3 years since I had my triple heart bypass. Recently I feel as though my right side ribs are stabbing me when I roll over in bed or lie on my front.
Can anyone give me advice as I am on holiday in Australia until Monday.
Thanks

Have you had a bone density scan . As it may have nothing to do with your by pass but due to bone density. My mom's osteoporosis was diagnosed after she went to the drs complaining of pain in her ribs and having a bone scan. She was 50 and lived until she was 90 . She had great cancer and dementia.
I recently had a bone density scan on my spine and hips . I have Osteopenia in my left hip. Thankfully my spine and other hip find . Been prescribed higher dose of calcium and vitamin D than the ones I have been taking since my first mammogram when I was 50. The radiographer asked me if I took them then told me I must. So probably taking them for 16 years helped with my bones.
My left hip muscle is wasted due to the way I have walked since I was 29 and have had falls all my life since a young child due to my hereditary neurological condition. Luckily haven't broken a bone .
No doubt your regime has been totally different since you have been on Holiday than when you are at home.
More walking, bending, eating, stretching, carrying suitcases, sitting for long periods etc etc.
Its now Saturday where you are, so you travel in 2 days. Might be best to see how it settles down when you get home, but if you are really concerned only you can know if its bad enough to check it out before you fly.
Try not to panic. It's been 9 years since my Bypass and my bones still hurt at the top of sternum and I can't lay flat on my tummy or left side. The one that really hurts is when I am in the car, if I turn and reach for something on the backseat I get what feels like bone or muscle spasm and it really hurts so I have learnt to twist back in the other direction to release it. I think everyone suffers differently after Bypass.
