I am recovering from an MCI in July. Feel lucky that I got fixed quickly whilst in Spain and had a stent fitted. I do struggle with what I should and shouldn’t do. But my question today is simply “why does my heart beat faster when I’m basically doing nothing but lying in the hot sun?”
My “body stress” (on my Garmin) is also high even though I’m doing nothing. It’s annoying me.
Thanks

Temperatures are taken in the shade. For example on a English Summers day it may be 25C.
However a thermometer i.e. your body-lying in the sun would register around 45C. The highest I have recorded was 28C in the shade and 55C in the sun.
Weather hugely affects everyone but especially heart patients with high humidity, cold, Mist and heat being main culprits.
Heart patients should be looking to achieve a Goldilocks climate as otherwise the heart will work harder to pump blood round the system and encourage the lungs to extract enough Oxygen and to keep the body at the optimum condition.
