Getting back on track

During Covid I had a couple of panic attacks, nobody was about to, couldn’t get through to emergency services, thought I had my chips , I managed to calm myself down and did breathing exercises, which helped me . I’ve had a stent fitted 10 months ago, I had a job to get to see a doctor, so I changed my way of thinking, learn to read you body , and the different chest pains, something like a judgement call. I bought myself a Altilia 24/7 blood pressure monitoring system, and is compatible with my Apple Watch and phone , knowing then the readings and the chest pain, I now have piece of mind , They are £190 pounds but it’ll be worth it if it saves my life one day, shows sleep patterns, breathing, etc

I was a ex semi alcoholic , I didn’t help myself at first , change your way of thinking, yes it’s hard staying in a positive frame of mind , keep yourself busy, but most of all listen to your body , get a food tolerance test done , this will help with some of the angina symptoms then will find out what foods disagree with you, I now use soya milk , and oatmeal bread for example so it doesn’t bloat. you, then the acid reflux doesn’t build up so much ,

It's probably of little consolation to others, but one advantage of this forum is that other's situations help put one's own into perspective. I was "lucky" in that my dodgy heart-valve was diagnosed in January 2023, just as Covid precautions were ending in my GP's surgery and local hospital. I wince at the thought of how I would have coped had the symptoms presented themselves two years earlier.

I only came on this site by chance , and thought if I could help one person, with the knowledge I’ve learnt along the way of heart disease. It would be great
