Pains: Well ended up in a&e Saturday... - British Heart Fou...
Pains
you do the right thing going to A&E with pain like that. I hope your GP may be able to help and refer you to cardiology if necessary. Hope you’re feeling better soon. Take care 🦊x
I know you have had this problem before and I could check your post to find out but have you seen your GP and pointed out what is happening and asked to be referred to a cardiologist for assessment for ANOCA/INOCA/Microvascular dysfunction ? if they don't know what it is they need to look it up. The British Heart Foundation have basic info
you won't get the right treatment or attention until they know what's wrong, and they won't know until they look in the right way - the tests you have had do not show what your problem is so that could mean they are using the wrong tests
I've tried asking for tests 4hey just say we've done tests everything is fine but think it's time I put my foot down I see my heart doctor at the end of this month too so I will mention that microvascular thing to them im sure me and my daughter mentioned it to the resus nurse or doctor who said no u don't have that
Microvascular and vasospastic angina needs specialised testing.
These ANOCA/INOCA conditions are not well understood and many Cardiologists and other staff may know very little about them.
You may need to be persistent.
Here is an illustration of the the different causes of angina due to myocardial ischaemia ( lack of blood supply to the heart)
Chronic coronary syndrome is another term for stable angina.

The ESC guidelines also discuss Angina/ ischaemia non obstructive coronary arteries ANOCA/INOCA. Tthisis new and your GP and many Cardiologists and other staff may have little knowledge about this type of angina.
It helps to arm yourself with knowledge before going to see a doctor.
Keeping a diary of your symptoms may help.
You can discuss your symptom diary with your GP or Cardiologist.
Describe where you have your pain, how does it feel, how long does it lasts.
Is there anything you can do to help relieve the pain ( rest, use your GTN spray)
Is your pain at rest or brought on by exertion?
The BHF has this information.

Microvascular angina can be diagnosed in some cases by a cardiac perfusion MRI.
Coronary vasospasms can be confirmed by a functional angiogram using a chemical acetylcholine.
These tests are only available in larger heart centres.
It may help to give the BHF helpline a call and speak with one of the cardiac nurses.

as Milkfairy says, there are specific tests for this - ask your GP to check if the specific tests have been done - if they have not you need to really put your foot down and insist
do your homework, read up on the subject, check that the symptoms match yours @milkfair often answers questions on this and you can look here for previous posts and information - you are an important member of your own healthcare team but you need to get informed to back up what you ask asking for
Hello there, I really feel for you. Can you tell me where your pains are? Do doctors tell, you what is causing them at all?
There centre of. Y chest then sometimes there above my breast area shooting across and in my arms sometimes and armpits doctorvs don't say what's causing it just to see my cardiologist when I get my be t appointment
Very sorry to hear about that! It looks like the flu has has made bad situation even worse. No worries you are in good hands.
