I had my private appointment

Had my private appointment, feel guilty as the Dr gave me alot of time and charged for a fraction of it. I know she's in her job because she cares which is very reassuring- I left with a zio 2 week monitor for 750 and il be returning for a stress test for 500 - I was offered for her to request this from my gp - but I declined and rather pay after my experience with gp. But hopefully get more insight, I think the stress test will show more - but the dr was quite challenged by my case and advised without a full understanding they can not get to the roots of it basically- has thought about blood pressure meds for some stability- but she is gaining access to scans to see if she can find any more info or missing info etc it's promising because it is being further explored - so I believe to be a step in the right direction

Hello :-)

It sounds like it is a step in the right direction and I am so pleased for you that by going private you are getting the tests done to find out what is happening

You sound like you have found a really lovely Consultant which at her distraction decided how much time she wanted to give you and what to charge you have nothing to feel guilty about as that is what she wanted to do so please do not add more pressure on yourself :-)

Let us know how you get on :-) x

Thank you, it has definitely give me a bit of hope and I feel alot more positive about things. I think the stress test will be the test to show how I'm impaired so I can't wait to have it done - I'm staying with this DR for the foreseeable, as I can see how sincere and genuine she is - I will be able to trust her judgement. Thank you for your support x

How lovely, sounds like she is worth her weight in gold. When you find a good consultant it is so reassuring. But please don't feel guilty, clearly she is happy to help and as you say cares enough to give you the time you need. You are not just a paycheque.

You're welcome, yes it makes all the difference, it did when I found someone good to see. And thankfully after seeing my Cardiologist privately first time he channelled me to see him NHS so it all worked out really well and meant I didn't have to pay for the tests either & got equally good care I'm glad to say. But it is also nice to continue privately when you can, which I hear you say you prefer to, and also then you don't have all the waiting. Wishing you well, and keep us posted if you wish too!
