So after spending grands, all I needed to spend was £670 - all I needed was my scan images assessed and second opinioned. If your sick and struggling with direction or just to be believed dr [REDACTED] will move mountains for you.

I have a pectus excavatum which has displaced my heart, I am so lucky it doesn't appear to have damaged it. The other organs meant to be in my ribcage are squashed up into my abdomen.

It's not her area, but she used her position of power for good !! She reached put to third party's and will even come and see me at my appointments. I met her once and she did more for me than anybody in my local hospitals. What a lady !!!

I might get better, can u believe it !!!

So iv been referred to be considered for nuss or ravitch procedure to stop my sternum crushing my heart and ribs !!! Its nhs and I suppose could stil say no...

But I was given the impression they will help me.

My local hospital only did half the axial in ct scan however it was enough to show it was severe. I wonder what it will show when they look properly.

If your looking for a hero in cardiology DR [REDACTED] IS THE ONE !! SHE IS BOTH NHS AND PRIVATE AT ST BARTS.

HERES TO GOOD HEALTH AFTER 5 LONG YEARS.... CANT BELIEVE IT.

Well aren't u a negative nelly!!! Are you admin? Or just a busy body? I meant no harm in the information I posted. It's to praise her and help others ! My positive post ! Can't bring me down 👇

I can think of some very good reasons for the Anonymity rule, especially when it comes to negative comments about named individuals. It could be that Dr Ezzat would not appreciate having approaches and referrals for other patients.

I can understand your jubilation at finding a doctor who has helped you. (Currently I'm the "parcel" in a year-long game of being passed from heart surgeon to gastroenterologist to haematologist and now to cardiologist - with voluntary consultations along the way with two private haematologists and a cardiologist - but with no satisfactory answer.)

But I fear that the moderators will shortly delete this thread.

Displacedheart To be clear I had no intention of bringing you down or undermining your positivity. On the contrary, since pointing out you are working outside the Guidelines gives you the opportunity to edit your post, so there is no likelihood of it being deleted, which I am sure you would not want. And be aware I have been on here long enough to know that posts do get deleted from time to time for lesser issues than your post presents, and some without explanation. However whether it gets deleted or not in its present form is not my decision that's down to the admins.

I had my wrist metaphorically slapped and my entire thread removed when I commented about a funding decision by the Government.

Congrats!

I also have pectus excavatum, though I'm fortunate that mine is mild enough not to have displaced anything. I wish you all the best moving forward.

congratulations so pleased for you. Thursday I had been talking to a friend about her heart health, she’d had a heart attack 27 years ago caused by a mismanaged child birth on medications and discharged never having any further check ups. I was trying to persuade her to pay for a private consultation and explained that the consultant could refer to NHS and jump the difficult GPs 👏🏼

Something to be aware of is that the NHS and private practitioners do not like you flip-floping between the NHS and private practice. I was told recently that it is OK to have a private consultation and have the consultant order expensive tests or procedures for you on the NHS, but once you have done that, you shouldn't come back to private practice to speed up getting the results or further procedures for the same problem.

They don’t like it ? Well that’s just a shame isn’t it - the system is what it is and the fact that you can get a private appt in days with the same specialist you might very well see via NHS but after months shows the system in place - if you find a way to circumvent appalling waiting lists via the system in place, good luck to you and my advice is do what you need and don’t worry about whether it’s “liked” or not
