If you have an S-ICD with the bedside Latitude box, how often does the white heart button flash so that you have to press it do a manual check-in or interrogation?
I thought it mostly did it automatically at night and it should only flash very occasionally (like once a month, or less) and when you are scheduled by the hospital for a remote appointment, which for me would be every three months.
However mine flashes every monday and I'm not sure if that is normal and I also understand that pressing it too often runs down the battery in your S-ICD. I've tried Latitude support, but received two different answers from two different people, one saying it was normal and one saying it wasn't, so now I don't know what to do.
Thanks a lot!

Hello, I've had mine 4 years now. It didn't used to flash very often but then I had to have a settings update at hospital at Christmas and now it flashes every Wednesday, I press to download. Any problems and the ICD team at the hospital phone me.
I have a CRT-D and every now and then I notice the green button is off so I stare at the monitor and then it comes on. Sometimes I catch it at the beginning and the heart button goes orange it flashes then the whole thing goes off then on again.
Ive noticed every time I have a cardiologist or device appointment it does it also. I have an EP I was told they ask for downloads sometimes. I use to press buttons but I don’t bother anymore as nothing ever happens and when I ask at the clinic they don’t seem to know either so I don’t touch the thing.
Yours is a different device but your monitor sounds like the same.
Someone mentioned BHF nurses. They might be able to answer your question.
Thanks a lot to everyone replying. Seems quite variable then, but weekly sounds like it could be right then for mine, rather than a mistake. I have sent an email to the hospital, so hopefully they can clarify it though.
