my low was 25%. It should be 50% plus. Now at 38%. How long has it been ? 18-20 months on meds should be enough.

If not 50% by then its not going to get any better.

I am on the waiting list for a CABG operation and trying to find out what the lowest EF people have been operated on .

well that would explain low AF. CABG and stemi are basically a procedure to let blood flow better. Hopefully normal.

STEMI is less invasive not suitable for everyone

My husband's surgeon said he would like the EF to be above 40%. So I am also wondering if there are people here who have had a CABG operation when their EF was lower than 40% or was it necessary to wait for medication to improve the EF first?

Hi Burnley1, I had OHS to repair a hole in my heart (see my bio), and my EF is 25%. All went well with the surgery. Take care.

Hello PinkKizzie, thanks for that my EF is only 20 so reassuring to know that my surgeon might also operate safely. Thank you once again.
