Been to GP

Hi everyone and thanks to all who replied to my post about stroke notes on my medical records. I have seen GP this morning to find this note was made by a 111 call handler. I understand they have to put something down but at no point did I say I had weakness and the other symptoms are normal for me when under stress which I did tell her. This was in April and as I said earlier I only found this out by chance so a bit worrying to say the least. I am very anxious about my health so this has been very difficult but thank you all so much for your help.I really appreciate. Best regards x

good to learn it was just a clerical error. But maybe you can hang on to all the responses you have received and use that to start chipping away at your anxiety.

I mentally noted that, when I was taken to casualty, the driver radioed ahead that I was having a stroke. I knew that was not the case, but she said I would be seen immediately.

Interesting.

Hi C thanks for that. Yes I have heard if you feel poorly and have to call an ambulance say you think you are having a stroke not heart attack as obviously time is of the essence with stroke so you will be seen quicker. Very sad it's come to this

That's a relief, phew! Unbelievable though, I didn't know that stuff went into your notes.

Hi Woodsie thanks for your reply. Be aware absolutely everything you say in a medical setting goes on your records. Best regards
