Well I survived my first trip to the cardiologist and I was impressed by his thorough approach. He is not particularly worried about me but knows that my anxiety about incomplete assessment of my case is not having a good effect on my bp.So I am to have three more tests to clear things up: a five day event recorder to evaluate my arrhythmias; a 24 hour blood pressure monitor to see what is happening there and a ct angiogram to check whether the burning sensations I have had in my chest since taking bp meds are due to angina or are purely side effects of the drugs (they don't match the pattern for angina apparently).Whilst I hate medical tests I was very pleased that my questions are to be answered and, after hearing how my previous tests were lost in the system until I complained, he has promised a summary of his findings.A good days work.🙂

A very good days work - thank-you for the update!
Well done for getting as much info and tests as possible!
A satisfied patient and a good day at the office for the consultant. Everybody wins.
Thanks for the update, sounds like you are having a real comprehensive set of tests done. A 5 day tape is a good idea as it should catch something, the 24hr BP test is good but I didn't like it personally, it kept me awake at night. Angiogram will give you real peace of mind that you are all OK which I am sure you are. The old anxiety has a lot to answer for! Hope you have a great relaxing Christmas now!
