After my sHA and stent I now wake up with numb hands, almost like pins and needles. I mostly wake on my back so it's not from lying on them. It goes away after a few minutes of being awake. I wondered if anyone else has experienced this. Ta 😀

Numb hands
By any chance are you taking Atorvastatin? I experienced the same pins and needles and numbness in the hands. It was actually keeping me awake at night. After discussion with my GP it was suggested that I take my statin in the morning as this is a side effect of this particular medication. Atorvastatin is one you can take any time of the day.
I get this every morning on waking and lie on my back do not lying on my hands. I took a statin holiday as advised by my cardiologist to see if it was that and I get muscle aches in my upper arms. It isn’t the statins with me as I’ve been off them a month now so having further blood tests done to look for other things. Sorry I can’t be more help.
Me, I get this too. I get it on waking and sometimes it wakens me up during the night. No statins for me either. I take, Bisopril, empagliflozin, aspirin, lansopril ezetimbe ticagulor & Entresto. I've mentioned it to the doc but he didn't really say anything about it so next time I'm gonna mention it again. Its weird though
Yes I have. Is it your whole hand or just the outermost two fingers?
yes I have this problem when I wake or when I am lying on my back reading I am taking bisoprasol and ramipril so my pulse rate is generally low (less than 50 at rest) and my bp around 115/70 I have been thinking of reducing my bisoprasol dose from 2.5 to 1.25 Waiting for a gp appointment to discuss this
Hope this helps
Cheers

for me, I found this to be caused by a problem in my upper back which was sorted out with about four sessions with a chiropractor
Hi, yes this happens to me too and every so often someone posts about it. I'm sure it's related to some sort of damage or inflammation from the HA, but it seems rare so drs haven't been able to explain it. It's helpful just knowing I'm not alone in this though. Here's a link to a previous similar post where I wrote more detail of my experience.healthunlocked.com/bhf/post...
Very best wishes and if you ever do get an explanation of why it happens please let me know 🙂
