My wife has been referred for an urgent cardiac appointment. This was following inform tilt table another tests. She has been told by hospital dr. she can't drive until diagnosed.
Secretly at cardiac dept. day waiting time for urgent cardiac referral is 38 weeks! I wonder if this is a record ?

Unbelievably my area waiting time for syncope cardiologist appointment is 58 weeks! I’m both disgusted and concerned as I’ve had a loss of consciousness full on episode (tbh the complete witnessed episode seems to fit more with a seizure but who am I to argue).
Having read up on cardio syncope it can cause death hence it’s unbelievable patients are waiting this long for a first appointment.
Roughly what area are you in?
You can request an out of area..,check out other areas/hospitals and their ratings with shorter wait times. However, you can’t believe the nhs online waiting times. Mine says 18 weeks so I called at 18 weeks only to be told it’s 58 weeks for syncope as they only have one specialist consultant for syncope covering a huge area.
I’ll be trying for a private appointment.
