low pulse rate
It would be unlikely to be AF for a slow heart rate.
There are a number of possibilities for a bradycardia such as heart block, aortic stenosis, in my case I had an arrhythmia and it was not pickup the extra “ectopic “ beats. It could also be sick sinus syndrome.
Please let the professionals diagnose and treat you accordingly.
It could be a lot of things, most of which are harmless overall. As Welshwomanarrythmia said, the bradycardia is probably ectopic beats but could be other things.
I have a low heart rate, drops to 31-33 on occasionally whilst sleeping, but more normally 36-37. At rest on the sofa etc., it's around 41-42. I had a cardiac arrest 1 year ago, totally unrelated to the low heart rate, was told by the cardiologist that it would actually be a great aid in my recovery. I'm very fit, do lots of gym work and feel generally very well indeed. Only thing it affected was that it made the use of beta blockers totally unnecessary and more importantly dangerous.I've been 'wired-up/taped' for 72 hours at home to record it and all has shown nothing untoward, just a naturally low heart rate.
