I’ve noticed since I had an AF episode about 4 weeks ago that I’m experiencing sharp pains in my heart occasionally.
Has anyone else had experience of this, is it normal & should I report to a doctor?
Thanks

Thanks for replying. Have you ever mentioned it to a doctor & had any feedback?
I did mention it but it seems every new symptom I get they just put down to one of my many problems and it's forgotten about 🤷♀️
You should tell your doc just in case it's something that needs dealing with.
Sometimes when I have AF I experience an uncomfortable pain which did used to cause me concern. However, I now realise that it is usually due to a build up of air from the irregular heartbeat, a couple of very loud burps and all is well again. Occasionally I run the area to assist with the release.
Rather like winding a baby☺
Hello. This is normal. I had exactly the same thing. I was told by the cardiologists it is caused by anxiety and different hormones going into the heart.
To date I haven't had stabbing pains and im on day 5 of takibg Bisoporol. Keep thinking positive and tune your mind out from the heart onto the present moment.
Best Wishes. Darren.
Thanks Darren
I’m on bisoprolol too & a blood thinner.
I realised today that I missed a blood thinner tablet the night before I got the pains which could just be a coincidence.
I think you’re right as stressing about every new pain can only make things worse.
I’ll try to zone out until my next cardiology appointment.
I’ve also bought a fit bit to keep track of my heart rate & finding it strangely reassuring!
All the best & thanks again.
