I’ve done it several times with 12 hour time differences on some trips. I’ve always tried to adjust my meds at the time of the place I’m in. Travelling West to East is the interesting bit as you can potentially take tablets up to twelve hours earlier than normal. A bit of common sense suggests phasing the time difference in. It can be a bit confusing but so far I have come to no obvious harm.
It’s a bit of an awkward one because I also take bisoprolol but I also take tablets for fluid control. If I am travelling away depending what time my flight is I sometimes have to juggle my meds to fit in with my travelling arrangements. I don’t think it would harm you just as a one of to take your meds at a different time of the day as long as you don’t make a habit of it.
Hello, I have done long haul trips and adjusted as needed. I take my Bisoporol in the morning and did the same in America as it’s used to slow my heart during the day so if I took it at night my heart rate would be too low. But my warfarin I just allowed for the time difference and kept taking it every 24 hours which I think was lunchtime rather than 6pm. Have a great time
Traveling with bisoprolol is simple. Please keep it in its original container with your prescription label so it’s easy to show. Also, carry it in your hand luggage to avoid issues if your checked bags go missing. Staying hydrated is critical when flying; you might want to pack a small pill organizer to keep things simple.
