Ive now been on bisoprolol fumarate 5mg twice aday x edoxaban 60mg once aday since being diagnosed with AF dec 9th 2023 . Before this i took propanalol for migraine .this was stopped is stopping it causing the anxiety or is it taking the new tablets . I am feeling better every day . I still get odd flutter. But scared to do too much incase i set it off again . Ive started taking my dog short walks again . I see my doctor again 11th jan .

Hello :-)

It could be the change in medication causing the anxiety it might be getting the diagnosis and adapting to it which you will do :-)

You have said you feel scared to do to much incase it triggers it of again so that sounds like it is making you a little anxious

I am not sure what support you are getting but the BHF Nurses are very good to talk to and maybe if you felt like it giving them a ring could help :-)

I will put you the phone number on and let us know how you get on :-) x

Hi, Anxiety is normal but just take things at your own pace & don't beat yourself up. I'm further down the road on my journey post cardio version & meds settled in & still get flutters & beats. It's good to chat & taking our doggos for walks I found was real therapy.

Hey I'm ok thanks for asking. You will find a version of you which won't be the same however I find making everyday count is a blessing and when I get down I start to think about when I was in AF before I knew I was in AF if that makes sense and how ill and tired I really felt. If I need a rest I take a rest and life isn't now at the same pace as it used to be. However I'm back working and have a manual job and loving life.
