Doing it my way

My answer to the question of how I continue cardiac rehab into 2024:1. Daily walks in the middle of a west of Scotland, storm-battered winter?

2. Costly membership of a trainer-smelly gym (that I then avoid)?

3. Exercise groups giving me flashbacks to "class duffer skulking at the back" status.

Nope. I joined an online group at a special offer price, and I'm just going to close the curtains and dance myself silly!

Wishing you all a happy life and greatly improved health in the New Year.

Well done Dannysnan - I have resolved now to do the Youtube ones - nothing too extreme - just keep moving, at home, first thing, then shower and get on with my day. Did it with the online cardio- rehab and it seems to fit in with my routine - just fell off the wagon a bit in December 😜😜

Brilliant! So good to hear what a positive attitude can do. Either I can retreat and lick my wounds or I can make the best of things.

Your post jogged me into getting up for a walk by the sea. Im nursing a fractured kneecap, after a fall…..but I have let my cardio exercise slip . Thank you. A great reminder to keep moving. And enjoy it!

Enjoy your dance and enjoy your day.

That made my day. I'm sorry to hear about your knee and I know how hard it can be to get moving anyway. Glad you had a good walk and here's to a better 2024!

Good for you. I made sure I finished my 8 week cardiac rehab class first because that helped me get my confidence back. Sounds like Walter is helping you!

Yes, it blows your confidence, doesn't it? I know exactly what you mean. (Me weeping in the bathroom on Boxing Day...) But just do what you can and give yourself a pat on the back for doing it. Pat for Walter from me!
