Sorry to hear this hopefully there are treatments out there. Google isn’t the best place to go although we always seem to head there. I try to stick to the NHS Uk site now for information as I know the information is correct.
Now you’ve received that diagnoses hopefully your cardiologist can explain more, treatments etc.
I have persistent Afib for 5 years I don’t feel it. I have a device fitted. You have pulmonary hypertension and so do I very severe. Sometimes one thing leads to another, that’s what my cardiologist told me.
Wait until you speak to someone and try not to worry or google, too much.
Yes I've been put on a med called jardiance to help with breathing the heart failure has been caused by being in afib permanently what device are you on?
Oh well at least here in New Zealand the weather is beautiful and warm and I've spent Christmas with my children and grandchildren they live in the UK but came over to spend Christmas with us it was hectic but lovely to see them again
Hi my device is a CRT-D. It as 3 leads and a defibrillator. My heart failure was caused by dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM) I have all different arrhythmias because my heart function is very low. I’ve had pulmonary hypertension for a while but this year they’ve discovered it’s severe. My kidney function is also getting quite low and I’m not interested in transplant. All has been caused by the progression of DCM.
I am seeing an EP in May about my arrhythmias so I will find out more.
