Finally Echo results!

Just to update you, l finally got my results and everything is great thank goodness after waiting four months and worrying. l also had a pacemaker check and was delighted to be told then and there that it has hardly been used in the last year because my heart and body are working so well at taking over the job. l want to give everyone hope. 19 months down the line l am now at the end of that LONG dark tunnel and into the light. lt is a terrible journey my friends, with hideous thoughts and setbacks but you can do it with help and support. The hardest part for me has been accepting l am not the same, just different but alive and mended. l can live with the fact l cannot go on a rollercoaster again but that's not a hardship! l now do the school run with two Grandsons several days a week and the eldest aged 8 told me yesterday that l looked younger than all the other Grandparents waiting in the playground which gave me a real boost as his praise has to be earned. Please persevere through all the terrible dark days that are so often relentless and accept that the scars inside you will probably always be there but faded a bit. Remember these tools to help - Buy new colourful shoes, drink wine and eat chocolate. l wish you all the very best (even the ones whose words have bugged me) Take care Sue x

Hi Laura, you are one of my favourites here. Your words have helped me so much on this horrendous journey. l cannot believe how l feel now, l am going on holiday next year to Spain with three of my lifelong mates, it should be a huge laugh (the golden girls) l really hope you are well, please continue to shine and give others inspiration like you have to me. Thanks for everything. Lots of love, Sue xxx
