With no plans to visit Cambridge I discovered a very quick route in, in the back of a blue light ambulance!!Many thanks to the NHS and, in particular, the Royal Papworth Hospital I am, as Elton John would say, still standing.

I was in the same hospital myself 2 years ago this January, I must have just missed you 😉

Great hospital but must admit as I was in for four weeks I soon got over the thrill of having my own room and was desperate for a bit of company!! Especially as at that time my wife was only allowed to visit three times a week!!

Ah, can I make the trio albeit mine wasn’t on blues and twos. I spent 5 weeks in Royal Papworth 6 months ago.

2 x PCI, AVR and 1 x CABG here and grateful to still be here, it was hinted that I may not have been.

Gentlemen, I salute you all. And raise a glass of latte to the Papworth

Its obvious that you were just determined to avoid the new pollution charge. But you can't do that every time you fancy Christmas shopping in the City!

Hope everything has gone well and the treatment has perked you up.
