Entresto?

So I will be hopefully starting entresto tomorrow? If the order comes in? Any way I will be on this medication to help my congenital problem. So it's all going to be a bit of another journey and learning to live and cope with this new style of medication. They say it is a good medication?

I'm fairly sure it has improved me over the last 6 months, I was supposed to have an ultrasound to confirm it but as they are running months behind think I will be operated on first!

Assuming they start you on the middle dose make sure you give it time, for a couple of weeks I had a feeling of dizziness but wasn't dizzy, hard to explain. Then they upped me to max and had the same, again a couple of weeks and it stopped.

l was introduced gradually to the highest dose last year. Each time that the dose was increased I had a dizzy and nauseous few days. Mortifyingly I threw up in a busy restaurant one day. However, those effects wore off and my EF improved from 30 to 60.

I love the fact that your ef went up so high. Even if mine could go up a bit would be nice, but I am taking it for the right ventrical so we will have to see. My original left ef was or is 52% my right ef is 21%. But I do hate side effects. You take care.

I will now be starting on Tuesday as it had to be ordered in to the pharmacy, because it is expensive so they don't just get it in get a stock. So it is something I will have plan when ordering more. Glad you don't have side effects, hope I don't get too many. Hope your mri goes OK. I enjoyed mine last year. Take care.

Hi I’ve been on it over 5 yrs now. I’m on the lower dose 1 twice a day. The higher does lowered my blood pressure too much and made me feel dizzy all the time. When I was first put on it along with the other cocktail of meds my heart function was 10% it’s now 23%

I am glad it increased your ef I will have to see how it works as it will be used to help the right ventricle which is low on ef but it is mainly used for the left ventricle. So we will have to see. Thank you.

I'm on it, no side effects at all. They say it's a wonder drug but the one I was on before (can't recall which) was also described as a wonder drug. As was Ticagrelor and they've taken me off it. I'm beginning to suspect the Heart Failure Nurses are like car salesmen with their overly positive patter! lol

Yes I I agree but I just hope it does some good. Thanks for the reply

I've been on entresto for two months and hit the max dose, 97-103 mg, one month ago. I had a variety of side effects along the way - diarrhea, dizziness, blurry vision - nothing too serious. Now I feel better than I have for years, Bottom line - if you have minor side effects, stick with it. Best wishes!

Thank you for the advice I was originally on lisinopril and spironolactone. But I will try to put up with any side effects. Thank you.
