Firstly thank you all for your help and support x. Ive just had a 3 hour consultation with my cardiologist who explained why and apologised that my referral was never made...... clerical error....anyway, i could possibly have stents, up to 14 over 3 sessions because of the diffuse diseased arteires which would work but if the disease were to progress would make it almost impossible to do a bypass in the future due to placement of stents. So, with all the grwat feedback ive had from you guys and girls Ive decided to go for the sensible option of the bypass and have been assurrd that my case, due to errors made will be processed rapidly. Thanks again everyone for your encouraging advice ❤❤

Soo glad to hear you’re moving forward with your surgery to have the bypass! I’m glad there won’t be a long waiting list for you and they will get to you sooner due to previous errors in your care.
For what it is worth I would have gone for exactly the same and because of their errors and been told you will not have to long to wait even more so
My Dad had a quadruple Bypass roundabout your age lived to be 77 and it was not his heart that took him that was still going strong so it is a positive outlook having Bypasses for so many
Let's hope now that date comes through soon and if you need to ask any questions about the op just come on and ask and we will share our experiences with you x
Aw so glad they finally doing something about your bypass, sounds like a very long but productive appointment! wish you all the best for your surgery and keep us all updated 😊😉
Thanks Jako, ive just read your posts and it seems i am in a similar situation as you at the start of your journey. Ill admit that the thought of this surgery and the recovery afterwards terrifies me, even waking up with the breathing tube is really daunting. I just want rid of this feeling of dread everytime I feel pains or odd sensations in my body, I really think ive become hyper sensitive and silly thinks like a hamstring pain leave me wandering if its heart related. The most baffling part for me is that i can walk briskly for a couple of hours, even jog when the mood strikes and i feel great, get no pains etc but then when something even slightly stressful happens at home it starts a flare up. Im really trying hard to focus on the future and sometimes wish i would get an out of the blue call to say i can go in now for the procedure to get it out of the way, the angst of waiting is horrible. One positive from my recent consultation was that my Syntax score was 20 which the consultant told me was mid level, even tempted me to go for stents instead but then the risks were high of future issues which would almost rule out bypass in the future. Sorry for the 'never-ending story'just rsally apprehensive atm
I found the booklets the hospital gave me were very helpful in alleviating fears, although being human we're naturally anxious. Knowing what to expect is the important thing. Lots of us here have come out the other side and can relate to those due to have the surgery. 3 years on I feel great in myself. Just make sure you pay attention to recovery time involved - you cannot rush that. All the best to anyone going through it.
