I have been experiencing bleeding in my mouth, it occurs anytime during the day/ evening.

The other night I experienced a blood clot, I have had another dentist appointment and everything is fine.

Today I have experienced dull ache in the left side of my chest, even when I am sitting down, I have contacted my GP still waiting for appointment. I am waiting for a valve replacement too.

Hello :-)

Are you on any blood thinners at all ?

As you have been to the dentist did you mention it to them to see what they thought could be the cause

I would make sure I got an appointment with the Doctor it could be some simple explanation but needs to be investigated what is causing this to happen

If the dull aching and bleeding continue then I would try and be very assertive with the receptionists at your surgery stressing you need an appointment now you cannot wait and if that fails then the only other thing I could suggest is to go to A&E which I know is something you would maybe not want to do but this does need looking into

I really hope you get someone to see you and let us know how you get on :-) x

Thankyou

I am not on any blood thinners or any other medication.

My dentist said he wouldn’t like to say what the cause is as he’s not a medic but it’s not gum disease or trauma within the mouth.

I will try and get a gp appointment again tomorrow.

Hello :-)

I think you should push for that appointment I know it can be so hard to get one but you need to insist and I hope you are successful :-) x

In case you find difficulty getting an appointment, or getting a referral to a specialist, it helps to know some of the pressure points, the magic words. In your case try:

** I saw a dentist and he told me to see a doctor

** ??? I coughed some blood and the dentist said it was not the teeth.

I hope you get sorted out soon.

I agree with what ILowe has said above. If you have seen a dentist and they have confirmed it is not a dental issue you now need to see your doctor to discuss the issue. Push for an appointment as soon as possible.
