Was starting to wonder where you had got to thought you were still celebrating and enjoying yourself but might have known
Right lets be positive you know they were going to have you in sooner for your op you said no as you wanted the you know what , well imagine if you had said yes your infection might not have cleared up by then and then they would have cancelled you and maybe you would have not got this date in Nov !
Having said all that I do feel for you and just check you can have the you know what when taking those antibiotics we don't want anything else happening
Someone said on here once if they did not have bad luck they would have none at all !
I so related to that not sure if you do but everything will be alright so keep going you are so strong I admire you dealing with everything like you do x
Hi, I don't know all of your personal circumstances or exactly what your procedure is going to be in the near future.
I would be interested though regarding any advice given to you by your dentist regarding antibiotics prior to your tooth extractions and whether or not you feel you should have at least been offered them.
The chances of infection causing endocarditis are small but it happened to me and will happen to others if dentists continue to ignore the dangers when treating patients with heart disease.
Everyone who comes under the at risk category should be offered advice and antibiotics, if not, walk away and find a dentist who will give them to you.
I only had 3 lower teeth left, 1 previously damaged and been rebuilt, plus a retained root, these 2 were recommended for removal performed by highly trained oral surgeon at my dental surgery last Mon, had stitches as on clopidogrel, scrupulous hygeine but Im diabetic and so just got unlucky, he has given me metronidazole for a week as had a tummy problem with a previous dose of fluclox that led to palps, hospital admission, and lo and behold a diagnosis of severe stenosis biscuspid aortic valve, took them 67 yrs to find it lol
Ill be ok just feeling sorry for myself , back to the warm salty mouth rinsing and keep taking the tablets !
Have you recovered from the endocarditis I havent much knowledge abt it ??
It's a long story which I have documented elsewhere on the forum so I won't bore you and everyone else with it again. Suffice to say I am on lifelong antifungal treatment as a result and the last 6 years have been somewhat taxing.
So sorry to hear this, hope things improve for you soon. If it’s any consolation, I was double jabbed a couple of weeks ago, no bad side effects except for two slightly tender arms, but not at all bad. Hope you escape without side effects.
I had a tooth extraction yesterday at the hospital at the request of my cardiologist. They know I have a heart op scheduled in the next 4-6 weeks & when I asked about antibiotics they said there was no need? I just hope this is the case.
I feel your frustration 😢 Hope everything clears up soon & all goes ahead as planned 🤞🏻
