Since I cant find the social link on here I thought I would post on here! ( please dont hate on me for this) ππ.So been to the gym haven't been able to go to the gym in ages because of an accident with my foot so I decided to brave it today! Bike was fine as you can see managed 30 minutes! Then just stepped on to the treadmill and the pain on the walking was a joke.
Heart rate stayed good whole time had some leg pain as usual but that's a good thing I've been told by my Consultant π.
35 mins was better then nothing! πͺπ»

Well done! Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy seeing your positive gym updates. Hope the weather was on your side today. Weβve had torrential rain where I am today x
I'm lucky to have a Concept 2 rowing machine in my house so I'm gradually getting back into that, my rowing is stately as a galleon in full sail lol but its doing my mental health a lot of good
If the surgeon says no more on Oct 5 I guess I'll have to stop again but I hope he doesn't
Thanks! X that's good you been exercising, that's something I'm not allowed to use the rowing machine. Hope your able to continue using it after your op.
that what I love, I've always been slow in pace on it but my forte used to be being able to go long distancdistances, steady state they call it, listening to Spotify music and podcasts, in summer id take it outside sometimes and row amongst the flowerflowers
in another life I wld have loved to learn to row on water but I'm afraid of water aft nearly drowning as a child and I don't swim so I'm banned from a boat lol
my village is very near the Thames with several crews practising on our Oxfordshire stretch so I often walk down to watch jealously x
Well done Yumz, that is brilliant for the first time back, and yes congratulations are in order, will hopefully give you the confidence to more.
You are doing the right thing by concentrating on the bike (low impact on your muscles) rather than worrying about the walking (higher impact) whilst your foot continues to recover.
