Since my ohs I developed tinnitus. It drives me crazy some times.in one ear its a high-pitched note the other sounds like a busy motorway. My maine blood pressure tab is canderstatin so different to yours. Most people's brains will learn to block it out eventually. I'm still waiting. If it's really bad I listen to white noise it helps. Other wise there's therepys to help.

Hey Kimbob11356 …
I’m sorry to hear about you experiencing tinnitus,
I have it in my collection also. The high pitched type.
It’s terrible.
Mine is reasonably loud compared to many but I have managed to make peace with it. You are going to hear this a lot, and it’s infuriating, but not letting it “get to you” is a big part of the experience being better or worse.
White noise helps, I have found mindfulness meditation helps also but this is not short term and at the beginning you end up focussing on it a bit more. It’s worth persevering though.
The biggest step is finding a way to sleep. If you do not get that sorted nothing else will matter.
Next not trying to find a cure, block it out or force it away is key. If I wear headphones it gets louder. Not because the headphones are necc. causing damage but because my brain freaks out it can’t hear sounds around me and turns the gain up.
This video has a great explanation into the psychology of it.

Try to use the white noise so it mixes with the sound rather than drowns it out. You are trying to interrupt the brain signals not block the “noise”.
It’s a journey alright but like this old strange heart game people manage to live with the complications it brings.
There doesn’t appear to be a cure but it does fade into the background of the mind.
