So I had my follow up appointment obvs were all good o2 sat 98% Heart rate 94. I was advised to let my heart hospital know about my dizziness ( this is new that they don't know about) and the short of breathe and the sweating. They have arranged a blood test and ECG for the 19th. She said my heart murmur was loud and heart sounds are loud which I get told alot!. I need to send my results of blood test and ECG to heart hospital aswell.

Good thing there is only a short waiting time before your next appointment! I really hope you can get to the bottom of what is causing your symptoms, especially if your heart murmur keeps getting picked up on as being loud.

Did the swelling in your leg go down in the end? X

Aw thanks tos yeah I'm glad aswell it's really odd what keeps happening I felt dizzy in tesco yesterday so I had to sit down and my legs felt weird like so strange can't even describe it. Then again last night when I got up to go to the toilet and been sweating so much. I haven't had the swelling thank goodness so definitely was the heat! Yeah I have been told three times recently that it's loud so something must of changed? X

Do you have anyway of checking your blood pressure at home as you’re having these dizzy spells? Do you think it could be related to your heart murmur?

Good to hear the swelling has gone down, at least that’s one less thing to worry about x

Yeah thanks hun x my blood pressure was good she checked both arms both was 120/72 so I'm not sure what's causing this? It might be b12 again last time I felt bit off it was that but could be heart murmur x so glad the swelling gone so right definitely one less thing to worry about, I am getting blood pressure monitor next time I get payed x

The bloods should be able to give you some more insight hopefully into what’s going on. Try not to worry for the time being. They would have admitted you if they felt it was urgent so try and find some reassurance in that x

Thinking of you and glad you have appointments lined up. I am sure they will get to the bottom of it but you will have high anxiety with the worry. Hope it is just that what is causing the dizziness. Love and prayers. Xxx

Good to hear you're doing ok & not too long to wait for for ECG etc. Do you know what they're they're testing your bloods for or is it a general, take an armful of blood and we'll test for everything? Also, I think I've asked this before but do you have a blood pressure monitor? If so, next time you have a dizzy spell, sweating etc, it's worth taking your bp & making a note of it to show at your hospital appt.

Good luck xx

Yeah thanks lezzers my echo coming up on 24th. they said they are checking heart, kidneys and vitamin levels just double check everything is ok. I definitely will get a blood pressure monitor still need to email heart hospital gona do it later. Oh the dizziness is separate to sweating I must just sweat alot at night. Xx

That's good to know they're checking everything. You've not got an infection going on or still getting over one? My husband was having night sweats when he had the pneumonia & was still having them for weeks after he'd finished his antibiotics. I've gotta get a new BP monitor, but the pharmacist said absolutely no point in getting anything fancy, just get the basic omron, so I'll have a look on line tomorrow.

If you're anything like me I'm rubbish at keeping up with things like e mails! Xx

Oh thats a good point maybe or could be my anxiety meds? But I sweat alot anyway I did start sweating alot at night before I got really ill 😰. So hopefully I ain't getting nothing serious. I had them terrible when I had pneumonia! Was awful. Right ok what website do I look on for an omron?? Yeah I'm awful with keeping up with emails aswell. I just know I'm gona email cardiac team and they won't think anything of it but I will say mu GP adviced me to tell them Xx ❤️

Oh cricky, I hope I haven't started you worrying. I don't know anything about anxiety meds so don't know if they cause sweats, it might tell you on the PIL. I'm just gonna look on Amazon for a monitor, the pharmacist did say don't spend lots of money on one as you can pick them up for bout £20 or thereabouts, he said he's just got a basic omron. Make sure you get one with an upper arm cuff as they're more accurate than the wrist ones & check out the cuff size, so that it's not too large or 2 small xx

Aw thanks lezzers x nah don't worry I always know when I'm ill and I don't feel like I have an infection of any sort so it's either low vitamins or heart disease trouble xx

hi. Sorry, I’m just catching up. Did they do a crp test to rule out any infections? I’m sure that they did, I just can’t remember reading it. Xx

maybe ring them and ask. The crp test measures levels of inflammation in your body and can tell them if you are fighting an infection etc. It’s a pretty standard test so I’d be surprised if they haven’t done it. If they haven’t I would ask them to do it. X

Yumz199725 in reply to Anon2023

I don't think I have ever had that checked in a blood test x or I have and I don't know

Anon2023 profile image
Anon2023

hi. Whenever they suspect an infection they should carry out a crp test or C-reactive protein (CRP). You’ve probably had it done tons of times but just didn’t know. My daughter works in A&E so I pick up info from her. I’m full of useless information 😂 x

Good to know you will have your appointment soon. Anxiety doesn’t help and my thoughts are with you on this.

In this heat dehydration could be the cause of your dizziness .I had this without the other symptoms and it was dehydration.

Hopefully get your answers soon.🤞

Hi Yumz,

Good to hear things are moving forwards with further appointments to come. I agree with Carercmb that your state of hydration might be a factor. Dehydration can manifest itself in many ways and dizziness might be how it affects you. I get a fairly early warning in that I get visual disturbances. If it's bad I get a brilliant light show around the periphery of my vision which is quite alarming. I'm sure it's down to my medication in combination with dehydration as it's only happened since I had my heart attack when I was put on meds.

I hope you get some answers soon.

Gerald

Hi yeah it could of been accept I have been keeping hydrated alot I have about 2 to 3 drinks on the go at once. I did read the tiredness can cause you to be unsteady so maybe it's that x

Good Morning

You mentioned you had low Vit B12 before.

Did you have tablets/injection and are you still on them if so? Were you given any reason why your level was low?

Hope you get to the bottom of your current concerns soon - it sounds as though you should get some answers from your blood tests and follow ups.

Hi yeah I was on tablets for a few months then after that my b12 was fine so I just need to keep up with eating red meat and green veg. Yeah hopefully I will thanks x

Interesting Im reading this as I'm having the same symptoms right now too! Exhausted, dizzy, out of breath but blood pressure seems fine. Got a blood pressure check Thursday with the GP but they're not taking bloods until the 18th. I feel so rubbish I might keep ringing asking if they have a sooner appointment.
