So I had that scare with the blood clot last week so had a Chest CT angiography and managed to get hold of the results from the head of radiology and another doctor that viewed it.

one of the things was. No calcification of the conorary arteries.

That has given me a huge sense of relief to better understand my chest pain really is anxiety and not my heart full of plaque. I feel bit of freedom.

It’s time to lose weight and work on this anxiety to really keep myself healthy. I thank so many people here.

So glad to hear that. Now work on getting fit and getting your anxiety treated and get out there and enjoy every moment life gives you from the little things such as nature to the large things, a better job finding the love of your life exploring the world. From the age of 75 I can say that life goes by so quickly It doesn't seem 5 minutes since I was your age Having had a aortic valve replaced I am now on the road to recovery and intend to get as fit as I can and get back out there and have fun for as long as I possibly can as the saying goes Life is for living Enjoy

Not sure what you are planning but after my severe stroke (male aged 71) I found the NHS app Couch to 5K , also supported here on HU. I've never run in my life or engaged in a specific exercise programme. I found this liberating, everyday I could feel and measure the progress and totally within my control and down to me. It takes 9 weeks to get from walking to a gentle 30 minute continuous run. The 5k is totally aspirational, most people run between 3-4kms by the end of 9 weeks. I've stuck with running, I love the freedom, simplicity and respect I get. I now also Parkrun on Saturday's which is a lovely community of all ages and ability. Hugely supportive. To summarise I am contributing to improve my health, no time to worry unduly.

An unscheduled operation with complications led to post op feedback on how good my cardio vascular was.

Excellent news indeed. I hope you can now move forwards with less anxiety and stress. Setting yourself goals in relation to your health will help, but don't get stressed if you don't achieve them. Life is a marathon not a 100 metre sprint... you will get there. Keep positive!

Now, it sounds like you have a plan going forward for losing weight and for learning to manage your anxiety. I have been diagnosed with anxiety disorder, and it can truly cause health issues and/or make them worse! It is wonderful for you if you can learn to manage your anxiety early on. Best wishes to you!
