Hey everyone

So last week I volunteered as a I always do but rather than a barcode scanner I was a tailwalker, I took it nice and easy and really enjoyed it.

This week I did it again BUT not as a volunteer, I took part I walked a 5k

I did speak to the cardiac rehab team on Thursday if I could do it. They gave the okay. It's my last rehab next week so it was a brilliant way to look back at my progress

Time has just come through as 54:15 as someone who couldn't walk 5m a few weeks ago I'm so pleased with that time!

Hi V, I'm glad you posted this here !

I saw your post on the bridge to 10k running forum (also your previous one)

And wanted to reply , however after leaving the Admin team and having a disagreement with other admins on there I have been restricted so can't respond to anyone posts .

But wanted to say well done you 😁👍

Keep it up !

I'm currently re running the couch to 5k program and started week 5 this morning 🙂

I really hope you continue to improve and it will be great to hear you are running again, when ready of course .

Best wishes, Ian x

I've also restarted couch 2 5k after speaking with my Cardiac Rehab team I'm only at week 4 and I'm repeating it a few times until I know I can get to week 5 run 3

Hello :-)

I just had to reply :-)

Years ago in a different user name had another account I did Admin on the Anxiety sites and we perhaps did not agree all the time but how on earth as Admin did you managed to get restricted :-D

Of course you don't have to answer but you did make me laugh as I thought this is a first surely but maybe not :-) x

In a moment of madness I put up a post with a few home truths !Perhaps not my wisest decision 🤣

Hower, I prefer to stick to my principles and not be a puppet for someone else's agenda

Hello :-)

Well we all have those moments of madness me every day :-D

Maybe not the wisest decision but you said what you needed to and the truth as you saw it and I believe in honesty so maybe you struck a few nerves as they say :-) x

I certainly did, and had loads of support through Private messages also

There you go then sounds like more were thinking the same they just did not have your moment of madness and posted it :-D

But at least they won't forget you on there :-) x

Oh crikey. I’m sorry you felt unable to continue . I do hope the decision was yours and you have not been elbowed out. There are pitfalls and trip hazards of which those of us who just dip into these forums are blithely unaware !

Yes, it was my decision to leave the admin team , simply because I will not be part of their back door politics. It's a shame , but I prefer to stick to my principles, I just post now on Active 10, and occasionally on the marathon forum

Hi V

That’s fab, well done you!!

You really are inspirational and I hope, once my symptoms have settled down again, that I will be able to follow in your footsteps and get myself fit too 😍

Keep us updated with how the C25K goes too please - I love a good news story 😁

Best wishes

Really pleased for you V. Forget the time, the boost to ones confidence can be immense, achieving something for 'you' I'm a bit torn today, as I bailed out of Parkrun, due to the heat...The old ticker didn't react to well to the heat a couple of weeks ago, so discretion being the better part of valour and all that, plus ( I suspect Thatwasunexpected'll get this) I struggle not to go for a new PB each time I go to Parkrun, I know I'm my own worst enemy!

Anyway, really made up for you & a little bit jealous 👍😜

Well done You have done so well . My rehab has been put off twice due to my blood pressure becoming unstable causing faints Hoping to be able to start this week as it seems to be more settled on new meds

Great to read that, keep us informed on the progress. Here struggling with the heat today, but still plugging away carefully at the cycling.
