Woohoo, I'm home

After a barrage of tests and a review of a senior cardiologist I've been released. Isosorbide has been increased from 10mg to 60mg daily. They'll be pushing for a review with my Cardiologist asap. Was already down for that anyway after last week's episode.

Glad I did call 111 now. Whilst it meant a trip to hospital and much waiting around at least I was fairly comfortable and they did loads of tests so not being dismissed as anxiety/panic. I asked what I should do if i get further pain. Was basically told every new event needs to be investigated in full. Lesson taken onboard.

Thank you to everyone that responded to my earlier post, meant a lot.

Thanks, bit frustrated that angina seems to have developed recently after I was doing so well and feeling great. All seems to have developed over last couple of weeks ans may or may not be connected with the warmer weather. Have to say, in spite of my irrational "fears" about wasting their valuable time I was constantly told I was in the right place, I had to be checked and was treated with warmth, kindness and respect by everyone from the 111 call handler, the HCAs, Nurses, Drs, Consultants to the ladies who brought me cups of tea and made my bed.

Thanks, we were both shattered. I've just woken up from 10 hours sleep, apart from 1 trip to the loo. Best sleep for a while but not sure I can recommend a trip to A&E as aide to sleep at home 🙂

Glad you’re home and have had really good care and a thorough check , it’s peace of mind for you and your wife . This hot weather seems to be causing issues for many with heart and other health conditions .

I'm convinced the hot weather has triggered this and whilst the Drs I saw sort of agreed that might be the case they didn't confirm or deny it. When my wife and I married one of our vows was "whatever the future may bring". Something we have reminded ourselves a fair bit in recent years, what with my heart and her brush with breast cancer a few years back (thankfully caught early).

My hubby and I have really had the in sickness and in health part of our vows put to the test on my part , thankfully hubby is ok apart from being very concerned for me on quite a few occasions when things weren’t looking good . Glad your wife is ok and the cancer was caught early . Hope she’s doing ok and you’re feeling alright today too . It’s a bit cooler out but still warm in our house . Hopefully the weather will be kinder to everyone who’s been struggling with how extremely hot it’s been . I think there’s a connection between the hot weather and how it’s made people feel , we’re just not used to it . Have a relaxing weekend , take care

Glad to hear that you have been checked out, and that you are feeling better! The sleep that you got sounds great too—but I did chuckle when you said that you wouldn’t recommend a trip to A&E as a sleep aide.

I hope that you continue to feel better and improve and that the temperature cools down! 😊
