hi there …. Fairly new to this drug as my cardiologist tries to determine if I have microvascular disease. I had a stent filled in April 2024 , a 90% blocked LAD . I have been having chest pain for four years only on outdoor walking. fully investigated for three years with no results. In 2024 tests were repeated at which time the blockage was discovered. I fully expected that the pain would be gone after the stent but sadly that did not happen. I am now taking 1.25 mg daily of Bisoprolol to see if that takes away the chest pain. I am finding that I am very exhausted at 7 in the evening and nodding off, and I have terrible sleeps. I’m waking up at least four times through the evening and also noticed more nasal and throat mucous. My blood pressure has gotten quite a bit lower than my standard and my heart rate never gets up past 99 on my walks. I see my cardiologist in November for a review, but always like to hear others stories as I know we are all different, but each can help the other in some way . Thank you … 66 year old female

Hello
I can see you posted a while ago now and will have had your appointment
I hope you got the answers you needed and you are feeling a lot better
Wishing you a Happy Christmas x
Thank you for your message. Unfortunately, the angiogram I had last month reported nothing suspicious . My cardiologist said they didn’t see any new or worsened blockages and stent was clear. She said some sort of “pressure test” was done and didn’t reveal anything new . My appointment was via phone and unfortunately a bit rushed . She said the pain doesn’t appear to be heart related and most likely is muscular. I don’t agree. The pain happens only when doing brisk walks , every single time. Because it goes away within 5-10 minutes she doesn’t think it’s angina. Suggested it could be asthma … which I know I don’t, but off to a respirologist I go . I am however, off the bisoprolol and feel much better . Take care and Happy Nee Year
