I've booked an appointment with my GP as I often have episodes where my heart rate is above 100 when sitting down. Usually around 115 bpm or less but above 100.
When I have an anxiety attack it can go over 120 bpm. I take Clozapine and think that might be the reason why.
My Apple watch warns me when it goes above 120 bpm when sitting down. I'm hoping the GP will prescribe something to lower my heart rate.

I'm the same, waiting to see a cardiologist, to see what is wrong if anything, but today in work. I was walking at a slow pace, and my heart rate was going up, and at 120 bpm, felt very lightheaded, so I sat down. My heart rate still going up even though Im sitting down, but now its 135 bpm, and getting out of breath. This went on for around 20 min's plus, before it slowly came down.
This is the third time while in work, my heart rate has gone up to around 130 bpm, and always let my doctor know. I bought myself a wellue ecg monitor back in Mar, and wear it every day, and feel it value has paid of, as I have ecg graphs to show the cardiologist, when I see him/her
Even when Im out walking at a slow pace, I find my heart rate is around 115 bpm, which I believe isnt right, for walking at a slow pace
Good luck with your discussions with the GP tachycardia. Does the apple watch keep a record ? Just wondering if it might be helpful to the GP if you can print it out to take with you to show the frequently it's occurring.
Don't know what type of arrhythmia I have. I had an ECG a couple of months ago which didn't pick up anything. I'm going to the GP in the hope that he can prescribe something which will return my heart rate to normal levels.
It depends on your blood pressure and normal heart rate for the GP to prescribe something such as a Beta Blocker. If your BP is below 110/70 or your resting heart rate below 55 then it will be difficult and the GP will likely pass you on to a Cardiologist anyway.
Saw my GP today, took my blood pressure and pulse rate. He's prescribed me some Bisoprolol Fumarate 1.25 mg. Has also ordered some blood tests to check my thyroid. See him again in three weeks.
