Checked my sleep tracker this morning and at 04.10 it said my heart rate went up to 118 bpm for about 5 minutes then dropped to 46 bpm its never done it before when sleeping but have had it at rest during the day.

Should I be worried.

Do you have a known heart condition or are you aware of any cardiac problems ? Did you wake up when your heart rate went faster then dropped ?

Yes I've got coronary artery disease which has effected 3 vessels was unable to be stented and no it didn't wake me up but did notice I felt breathless when I got up.

Probably nothing to worry about but better to be safe then sorry 😉. I would definitely go to the gp or speak to your cardiologist 😘.

Thanks Yumz199725.

I've spoken to GP last November about being breathless and being lightheaded when exercising had a blood test called a Brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) test which came back saying I might have possible heart failure GP requested for an Echocardiogram to be done I'm still waiting for the sppointment to come through from the hospital.

Last November!Sounds like you should talk to your cardiologist about a stress test, oh possible heart failure I'm sorry to hear 💔. Definitely chase this up please x 😉

I chased it up end of March and they surgery said there is at least a 7 month wait for my echocardiogram appointment.

not sure what sleep tracker/heart monitor you have but my cardiologist certainly seems confident in Apple Watch for tracking hr. So having said that, if it was a blip on the chart I would say nothing to worry about. However lasting 5 minutes doesn’t seem normal so if it happens again I would definitely be speaking to a dr or cardiologist about it.

An entertaining dream perhaps? Might be worth looking at heart rate change and REM sleep.

Is the device reliable, e.g. FDA approved? I once had a FitBit which indicated that I’d woken up over 30 times during the night. I returned it the following day.
