Hey Everyone

Thanks for all the comments last night and this morning.

I'm still not feeling great but I've made an appointment with my GP. It's not until May but I'll manage until then.

Its very early days in your recovery , it took me a long time to process what happened to me (not heart attack but very serious threat to heart stopping ) take things one day, one hour at a time . Talk to others on here who know how tough the emotional recovery is . Maybe try for an earlier gp appt, BHF has a helpline you can call for advice and reassurance too .

Glad you have got an appointment. Eat well, hydrate well and rest up. You have been through a trauma to your body, you have to take it steady for a while. The psychological impact is also not to be underestimated. You are surrounded by big hugs here xxxx

Sorry to hear your still not feeling great V, but glad you have an appointment with your GP ❤️

Hello :-)

It will soon be May and you have made a positive start V by making that appointment but if you struggle to much before that appointment comes up then get back on to them and let them know

Meanwhile you have us and no need for any thanks but nice to know people appreciate the support they get on here :-) x

the wait for gp appointments is awful. I’ll have been waiting to see my gp for 5 weeks before my appointment at the end of the month. Not good for someone with health anxiety. All I would say is that if they were really worried they wouldn’t take the risk of waiting. I’d also encourage you to contact them if you start to feel very poorly again. I’m not encouraging anyone to game the system but there are trigger words for being seen sooner and chest pain & breathlessness are some of them. You’ve been through a lot and maybe your recovery will take a little while but you will get there. Xx

My GP appointment is for my mental health, but I know the trigger words and I've only ever used them when needed.

Thanks x
