has anyone had any weight gain taking entresto been on it for 12 months now and have gained 10 lb have been reading up on it and some people report weight gain any reply would be appreciated

Hi I have been taking Entresto for approximately 2 years without any weight gain, but I suppose it could affect people differently.

Not weight gain but found it hard to lose any on it.

My heart nurse says that this is quite common with this drug.

I think with Entresto you have to keep active even if it’s struggle or you will gain weight, and watch what you eat, I suppose it’s how we should all eat anyway. Also if you’re not very active, you don’t need to eat much. I’ve been taking it for 5 years and at the beginning I would go up and down. Fluid retention was a big part. I eventually decided to weigh myself daily to keep tabs of my weight because I don’t want it to get out of hand.

thank you I have been weighing myself every day don't want to put any weight on don't think it is fluid related as it's a steady weight gain not rapid

Don’t push yourself too much, find something you like doing. I tried lots of things before I found what I like doing.

yes i have been on it for 3 years now and gained weight but that would be due to heart failure itself and the big change around of being active to a more restricted lifestyle. Dapaflogzin however has shifted some of this weight

thank you nurse has just put me on another drug along side with entresto my ef was 36 when they started me on low dose 1year on hope it has increased my ef have had 3 mi lucky to be here today

Hey I've been on entresto for a year and a half. Gained weight and have struggled to lose it. Spoken to my cardiologist and my heart nurse, they have said im a little heavier than they'd like for my size and condition but they have no cause for concern as not rapid weight gain. I can't exercise but keep active as much as I can x

No weight gain for me in over a year of taking a couple of different doses of Entresto. I do keep fit with over 7k steps each day for exercise though + watch what I eat and don’t drink alcohol etc.

Blimey, just got my first prescription for this today. My heart failure nurse never mentioned weight gain! Grrrr. Cheers for the heads-up.

I don’t recall seeing that as a side effect but maybe overlooked it. I gain 10 lbs. and lose 10 lbs. more than once in a yrs. time. All the best.
