Long term effects of entresto

I read a medical article which said that Entresto can cause Alzheimer's and macular degeneration. As this drug has been suggested to help control my B and poor regurgitation I'm loathe to start if it is going to have a detrimental effect on my life. Anyone read this article and is there any advice available?

I am taking Entresto, which has greatly improved my heart function. Do you have a link for this article?

I found a site called "Nutrition and Healing" - New Heart Failure drug linked to Alzheimer's.

It seems to be an American site so don't know how good it is and will be guided by our community pharmacist when I speak to him. I'm just a bit wary of trying different drug as always seem to experience side effects.

Thanks to all for their comments.

I have looked at that site, and warning lights went off left, right and centre. A long repetitive video that does not tell you anything, but you need to sign up for a "free" book.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention, but I will keep taking the tablets.

HI, there will be known side effects and interactions with every medication. I've been on Entresto for 11 months now, no side effects here and hopefully the ECHO next week will show improved heart function. It's a weighing up scenario.

I’ve been on Entresto for a few years and would be really keen to read this article. Could you provide a link/give source please?

Every drug has a trade off meaning they all have side effects. Most times the side effects are very rarely serious but still need to be reported. You clearly are prescribed this drug because your condition is deemed as serious so I would stop reading so many articles and just take it to be honest.

Yes I read it can cross over the blood brain barrier. Now its one of those aint it. It certainly improves heart function for many, but maybe one day its going to mess up your brain. Personally I know it affects my brain and causes brain fog where i cannot think straight after taking this med, but the effects do calm down a couple hours later.
