Hi, my mum has had heart issues for a number of years, angina and atherosclerosis having a bypass nearly 30 years ago.
She has now had 4 severe heart attacks in 6 months, the most recent one two weeks ago. She came to live with me and my husband at Christmas as she couldnt cope on her own.
I work from home at the minute but its looking like I will need to be back in the office a couple of days a week and my husband works rotating shifts (4 on 4 off days and nights).
Has anyone managed to get any care support on a part time basis to cover days when you have to go in work? at the minute mum can dress herself and bathe herself etc but Im not comfortable leaving her alone making meals and drinks etc, she also has Parkinson's so the shaking makes holding anything difficult
thanks
Sam

Hello
I am sure you will be able to get some support and if it were me I would start by phoning Social Services in your area even if they are not the ones that can arrange this they should be able to sign post you where to go
Thank you for replying, its actually nice to know im not alone. A camera is a good idea actually, hadn't thought of that. I'm.so sorry to hear you have the condition too, I hope its not impacting you in any way. X
My local council has a emergency call system. You can investigate it by going on their website. (UK). Applications are filled in online or you can phone them.
