24hrs ecg

I posted lst week as GP done a ecg and they wanted to do another to compare. I had my other ecg done and they have said they want me to have a heart scan and wear a 24hr ecg monitor. On my Apple Watch my beats per min range between 40bmp and 188bmp I didn’t ask the GP any questions as I was in shock but now starting to panic. Any advice on how long I’ll be waiting or why they have requested this for me?

Hello :-)

When we are in shock we all forget to ask the questions we need answering and then after it is to late

They no doubt are double checking why this is happening so if meds need changing or needed or anything else they can get it sorted out which is a positive for you that they are doing this better to be checked than missed :-)

How long will you be waiting is like how long is a piece of string and a lottery postcode to but be reassured if they thought it was an emergency they would have you in and not have you on a waiting list instead

Try and remember that and if you can get to speak with your Doctor while you are waiting then try and do so as that could help to put your mind at ease

Let us know how you get on :-) x

thank you for your reply, the GP doesn’t actually know about my heart rates as I only noticed last week this had been happening it’s not something I’ve ever monitored I didn’t even know what heart rate we are supposed to have 🙈😂I went for an asthma review and the nurse noticed an extra pulse and that’s why I go referred, that’s when I started googling ( I know I shouldn’t ) I have had Apple Watch for a few years and noticed my BMP have been like it since I started wearing it. So was wondering if something came up on the ecg that has concerned them. I only mentioned my BMP today after he asked me if I’d had any other symptoms, he had already mentioned the scan and 24 hr ECG. He mentioned he spoke to cardiologist about my ecgs. So I’m not really sure at all.
