I wasn't fully aware what actually happened in the early hours of the morning, so I might be able to give a bit more details (maybe)
On the school trip last week I ate loads and had really bad heartburn/ingestion so kinda just dismissed it. I used GTN spray and took some gaviscon and neither seemed to work. So stupidly I kinda ignored it.
Saturday I volunteered for my parkrun and still felt a bit off, I can't quite describe it. Just off. Then my heart rate started racing and real bad palpitations so I went on the NHS website and they said request a call back it was actually quite quick about a hour wait. I spoke to the nurse and she mentioned about me sounding breathless, again I made an excuse it was my asthma so she made me use my inhaler while talking to me and she was very kind and said I needed an ambulance she thinks I was having a heart attack, I dismissed it "No, I'm recovering from one I'm not having another one" within about an hour and a half the ambulance was here.
I sat in a&e with 2 lovely paramedics in a corridor and I suddenly said I felt dizzy and I was sick I don't remember anything else for a few hours but this is what I've been told. After I was sick I passed out and my heart stopped for about 5 minutes. (Last time i didn't go into cardiac arrest) as I was surrounded by medical people, I was having CPR and and defib was used very quickly. This was around 2 am I woke up around 5am.
I had a million missed calls and texts from my mum. I text her to let her know I was okay and she should come down a bit later on when I knew more. She did turn up around 11 for a couple of hours
I'm now on a surgical ward, as they might do a stent as my ECG and blood pressure readings aren't what they are happy with, so are considering a stent basically they don't know what to do with me.
Sorry for rambling on

So sorry to hear your news V. Please keep us posted. Thank goodness you were in the hospital when it happened, at least they can decide on your treatment hopefully quickly. Bless you, thinking of you x
Aw hun that sounds like such an ordeal so glad you made it through! 😳❤️. Your definitely in the best place so glad you got some medical advice on 111 and they called an ambulance 🚑❤️😢. Hope your ok. Oh gosh your only one year younger then me! You been though so much. Hope your surgery goes well. Please keep us updated. Get some rest and sleep well ❤️
I was rooting for you and hoping it wasn’t a major heart attack from your earlier post.
Sorry to hear about the possibility of a stent. Stay strong as you have been and keep us updated when you can x
Hello
I have also been looking for updates from you and I am so sorry to read what happened but I am relieved that you made that call no one knows their own body like themselves and yesterday I sensed deep down you knew things were not right and glad you acted upon it
They will no doubt take you down at some stage and give you an angiogram and if any stents are needed they will do them as they get a closer look but you are such a strong young lady I know you will cope just fine
I am glad you are safe in the Hospital while they get this under control and sorted
You are not rambling on at all we all care and you ramble as much as you like as long as you keep letting us know how you are
Thinking about you and hoping for good news from you when you feel up to posting x
Oh Valentina, I'm so sorry, what a rough ride life has dealt you recently! It's really not fair at all. I had a HA last week and still feel sore though am back at work (from home mostly).
Looking for positives, now there is clearly an arguement for more surgical intervention like stents to make sure this doesn't happen again. They will sort you out.
Remember that we (and our hearts!) are often a lot tougher than we can possibly imagine.
Thinking of you, keep us posted, and we're all keeping everything crossed for your strong and steady recovery xxx
Hi Valentina,Cardiac arrest isn't much fun but at least you were in the right place, I had mine at my local Parkrun.
I hope you aren't feeling too bad, physically and mentally. The cpr left me sore for a while afterwards and it's not easy getting your head round the cardiac arrest thing. There is a closed group on Facebook for us, SCA UK, which has links to lots of advice and there is the support of others who have been through the same.
so very sorry to read this V. What an awful experience but you were soooo in the right place when needed. Hope you get excellent treatment and are on the road to recovery soon.
Oh dear V, this reads like the script for a book or maybe a film. Let's hope they sort you out once and for all and there are no further events. Sending you my very best wishes for a complete and 'forever' recovery.
Oh Valentina what a very frightening experience I’m glad you were in hospital at the time, hopefully this time they will get you on the right track, we will all be thinking about you and sending waves of good wishes your way
Glad to hear that you had a good outcome V. I had a similar experience where I hadn’t felt great for a couple of days but just struggled through,
I suddenly came over quite weak and couldn’t eat my tea so I thought I would have a lie down and I became very breathless,
I called 999 and the call handler stayed on the line with me as she could hear that I was deteriorating,4 paramedics arrived in about ten minutes and I was given two nebulisers and GTN , I will be forever grateful to them they really saved my life .
I was treated with Furosemide and antibiotics and they said I had a viral infection which caused fluid to build up in my lungs, I was discharged after five days,it was a very scary experience because I hadn’t had a cough or a temperature,I just felt weak.
I wish you a speedy recovery and hopefully you will be back to good health soon 😊
You are just 24 so rest assured they will move heaven and earth to sort this out for you, and they will. Wishing you all the best and well done on picking it up when you did.
Omg that has shocked me. You take care and be strong.
I can barely believe what I just read. Oh my word, how lucky you were in hospital. I hope they can quickly work out what to do. You're far too young for this.-
Thank goodness that nurse insisted you went to hospital I know this is a awful shock for you but you are in the right place . Try to relax and do do exactly as you are toldI will be thinking of you
There's not many things that make me shout out aloud, but wow and OMG!
The others have said it all for me. All I can say is the nurse who insisted on the ambulance, well she/he needs a medal, as do the two paramedics who were there when you took really unwell, and of course all the other medics who'll put you back together.
I've always said to my son, who's 27 now, to listen to his instincts, his gut feeling & you did that, you knew you and that is brilliant, proud of you.
Stay strong, stay you..... & try to get the good food.
OMG! Your story is scary and amazing! You were truly blessed to be at the hospital at that time. I am so happy that you were there and that you could receive the treatment and care that you needed.
I’m sure that your students all miss you terribly—but your story also provides a learning opportunity for them, I.e. that sometimes the best thing to do is to provide some self-care for ourselves like taking time to rest and heal. I have worked in education all of my life—elementary school reading, high school English, and university education classes (among others). I know that we worry about our students and want to do our very best for them. Right now, the very best is taking time to recover properly so that you can get back to teaching once again.
Again, it sounds like you are still in the best possible place for now. Try to rest and not worry too much. Take care and please keep us posted.
