The more posts endorsing positive life styles the better!
Exercising, losing weight, quitting smoking, eating healthily; none of them are easy or convenient, but to borrow a great phrase that was used recently on this forum, "they add years to our life and life to our years".
So more power to your elbow Yumz!
itβs so good to hear. Being early in this process, just over 2 weeks post CABG and having just been booked in later in April to start cardiac rehab this makes me feel encouraged and positive. Thank you
Well done you keep doing what you are doing, fitness is everything.x

Lovely to read a positive post. Well Done. I went to my second cardio rehab session yesterday. I feel so much better, yes it was difficult but rewarding and I feel I am making some progress.
The gym does help. You are doing great. Back to gym tonight, practicing for stress test in June.
That's brilliant! That's what I'm doing for my next one they said they would arrange one but I'm not sure when. What level on the bike do you recommend I go up to so I can really prepare myself for the stress test I can only manage 5 minutes I'm sure now that I'm going to gym and doing so much more exercise and walking every where I will do so much better and my exercise capacity will have majorly increased! Wish u all the best for June!
Good question. The trouble is that when I done my test last year I gave up after 7 minutes due to fatigue in my legs. She said she wants more. I thought 7 minutes was good. Any way, currently while iam on the up right bike, I start at level 1 and every minute I put it up a level. At present once I hit level 10 I feel it in my legs. Unfortunately the up right bike I use does not show watts. The recline bike does show watts so iam going to aim at 120 watts for at least 3 minutes. That is quite stiff and it's about level 11. I know it's a bit daunting. But if next time I can get to 9 minutes then I will be happy. At about level 10, heart rate is nearly 130. I have been naughty and tried googling cardiac stress tests but it is not telling me maximum wattage that they go to, and how steep they put the resistance up by, but I will get there. You take care.
Well done I'm pleased for you.
