I’ve often seen posts about travel insurance now it’s my turn. After a £899 renewal notice that already includes 20% discount 🙈

my renewal quote was from Allclear. Excluding USA etc. Anyone suggest any other companies to try for a quote please? For a number of health issues. As I’ll be phoning around.

thank you.

To be honest I found Allclear provided me with a reasonable quote last year against others , and against Staysure who would not even insure me. I suggest you put your details into a website which caters for travel insurance with pre-existing health conditions, and go from there, or even work with a local broker who will be incentivised to get the best deal for you. That will at least give you a good start point and will put your Allclear quote into perspective. But do take into account that we are all different with different risk profiles as far as insurance is concerned, and just because someone on here had a good quote from an insurer doesn't necessarily mean you will get the same. Hope you find something that suits.

thanks. I might phone round and find Allclear the cheapest. It was £736 last year and nothing has changed. I just couldn’t believe it when I saw the quote.

Like you, I got a bit of a shock when I got a quote from AllClear just a few weeks ago - over £600 for an annual for Europe for numerous medical conditions - so many that I couldn't do it on line and had to phone them up! I shopped around and ended up going with Staysure. As I didn't purchase immediately, they emailed me a few days later with a discount code to get 20percent off, so I ended up paying just over £170.

mines £1042 excluding USA. That’s with out me telling them I’m waiting for an operation.

I found avanti the cheapest. My online quote was reasonable but when I spoke to them on the phone they knocked another £55 off.

Hi try insurancewith.com they specialise in pre existing conditions, I use them all the time and the price has always been pretty good. I have had a transplant, osteoporosis and a few other things. That price just seems far too high. I hope you get something a lot cheaper char

Travel Insurance , for two both with heath conditions . My research £1,000 plus for a year. Doctors print out, waiting for our tick the box questions application to put to file. These companies all link up. Read the small print is the best way. We went with our bolt on to high street lender. The insurance is geared up for high thrill seekers, which we are not.

HOW MUCH . . ? That seem a crazy price. I'm shocked.I got refused travel insurance last week when I was booking a trip with a well known tour operator.

I'd heard about StaySure via this forum for the last few years, so gave them a call and just took out an annual policy for under £150.00 . No problems.

I have a wide range of complex chronic conditions, including a life-limiting heart condition, plus AF as a secondary condition, stage III kidney disease, insulin dependent diabetes and previous stroke.Maybe they missed a nought off, guess I had better check the bank 😉.

Good luck with your search . .

My biggest issue is that all the companies including brokers use the same yes/no questions. I had a NSTEMI and a heart valve replacement. I’m now better than I was before, gym every day. I have never been obese and looked after myself. But if you had a condition you are labelled and there is no flexibility. I tried many brokers and thought actually talking to someone would help. All they done was go through the same questions.

Hallo. Try `Cover For You`. They are brokers with a form to complete. They search the market and provide quotes.

Also the Post Office are known to be good.

Good hunting,

Frank.

I got loads of quotes and to be honest was disappointed by all of them and the cost which ranged from just under 700 up to 900

I shied away from All Clear as they seemed to keep losing some of my medical condition details. SAGA, Staysure we’re pretty ok but Cedar Tree wouldn’t cover me due to the mention of anginA

But InsuranceWith came in at under 500 for a 10 day trip to the USA but that was with a 1k excess. In the end I’ve had to postpone my trip / and marriage as my GP only gave me my fit to fly the day before scheduled departure.

I ll get InsuranceWith to do me a world /annual policy as am now going to Spain next week.
